Today my class and I watched a video about kindness. The video was about a random act of kindness. It started with a little boy who wanted the super dooper ice cream.  When they got to the ice cream shop the boys heard their dad bought them some super dooper ice cream.
They were happy with their day.

ZOMBIES DON’T EAT VEGGIES

ZOMBIES DON’T EAT VEGGIES

Created by Megan & Jorge Lacera
Read by Jamie Camil

This story was about a Zombie family of three.  Mum, Dad and their son
Mauricio Romero but his parents called him Mo.  Mo loved vegetables, he had
a secret  vegetables garden.  He grew carrots, tomatoes, kale, spinach,
onions, garlic and many more.

Mo’s mum and dad didn't like vegetables, NOT ONE BIT! But Mo did.  They
tried to tell Mo that they were zombies and ZOMBIES DON’T EAT VEGGIES!
They told Mo zombies only eat zombies cuisine which is made out of brains
and human body parts.

One day Mo thought of tricking his parents by making them tomato soups and
he mixed it up to look like a blood soup and took it to them.  His parents
seemed to love it at first, while they were enjoying the soup Mo was happy and
he started dreaming of all the veggies food he can make for his family every
day.  But suddenly his parents screamed YUCK! And spitting it out. They knew
it was vegetable soup.  They told of Mo and reminded him that they are
zombies and ZOMBIES DON’T EAT VEGGIES!

Mo was sad and told his parents he loves veggies. He doesn't like zombie
cuisine and all the zombies' food and he loves playing and chasing humans.
He promised his dad that he will always support him at his Brain eating
competitions.  So at last his parents allow him to eat all he likes.  Everybody
was happy.

Dear Mum!

Mothers Day Graphics | PicGifs.comDear Mum,

First of all I would like to give thanks to our God for
letting you be my mum.

Thank you for bringing me into this world, thank you for
looking after me and loving me all the time especially when
I do bad things to my older brothers.  Thank you for all
your teachings like telling me to do good things to people
that are older than me.

I love you mum because you love me too.  You cook the most
delicious food and bake the yummiest treats.
My mum is very beautiful and pretty when she dresses up
and wear her make-up and do her long beautiful hair.

I love my mum because she gets me and my brothers
presents all the time for our birthdays and Christmas.
Sometimes we just get presents if we do good at school
or at home.

I love you mum, you are pretty in every way!

Stuart Little 2 Soccer Season

Stuart Little 2
Soccer season

The book I read today was the story of  ‘Stuart little, soccer season’.  There
were six people in the story. They are Stuart, big brother George, baby sister
Martha, their cat Snow-bell, mum and dad Mr and Mrs Little. The story starts
with Stuart  waking up George because he was very excited  for the first time to
play soccer. Mrs Little was worried for Stuart because he was way too little to
play soccer with normal kids but Mr Little told her not to worry because he is a
Little and he will be fine.  Stuart sat on the bench for a long time, when the
coach put him on, Stuart's mum and dad were happy because he was on to
play soccer for the very first time and for his team.   George kicked the ball
when Stuart was running towards it, Stuart was stuck on the ball. The ball got
kicked right into the middle of the goal post and Stuart got stuck on the net
upside down.  The mum was about to run to the field to snatched off their little
son Stuart but the dad told her not to because it would be too embarrassing to
the boys.  Stuart was okay after all and their team won the game.

Resurrection Activity

Activity
  1. How is Jesus different after his Resurrection?
He seems a little bit more nicer and peaceful.
  1. How did his disciples recognise him?
They recognised him by his voice and how he broke the bread
and gave it to them. It reminded them of their last supper before
he died.
Think about what happened each time he appeared.
What did he say?  The first time he appeared to Mary he said “Woman
why are you crying?” When he first appeared to his disciples he said to
them “Peace be with you”.   He appeared to Thomas because Thomas
did not believe that he rose from the dead and he was not with the rest of
the disciples when Jesus first appeared to them, Jesus said “Peace be with
you, put your finger here and look at my hands.  Reach out your hand
and put in my side, Stop your doubting and believe.  Do you believe
because you see me?  Happy are those who believe without seeing
me”.
What was he like?  He was natural, calm and very peaceful each
time he appeared
and talked to his disciples and friends.
What did he do?  He made sure his disciples were calm and not
scared and believe he is alive so they can spread it  to the world.
What were the disciples doing?  The first time Jesus appeared to
them they were just in the house hiding from the soldiers and they
were scared and sad too because their Lord was dead.  Another
time they were fishing when Jesus appeared and called out to
them if they found any, one of them said no, Jesus told them to throw
their net to the right side and they almost couldn't pull up their net
because it was full of fish.

My ANZAC Biscuit

MY ANZAC BISCUIT

On Saturday 25th of April 2020 (ANZAC DAY) I begged my mum to please help me make some
Anzac biscuits.  My mum said to get my netbook and open up to the recipe Mr Gaffney sent and
she said wait she will have to go to the supermarket to buy some golden syrup.   She went for a
very very long time because the supermarket didn’t open until 1 o'clock.

We finally got to make my Anzac biscuits after dinner.  We had fun making it, me and my two
brothers Jabez and Lau helped mum make it.  Mum did the mix and showed us how to roll little
balls and put them into the trays and she pressed it down with the fork and let me do it too.  I felt
like a real baker because I wore my apron with mum but when my brother Jabez came to join
us mum took off her apron and gave it to him.

We baked too much so we decided to put them in little trays and wrapped them up to give away
to our other family. We gave away four trays with 10 or 12 cookies in each one.  We still have
lots more for us to share at home.

I love Anzac Biscuits, I think I will ask mum to help me make some more again on the weekend.

God Creation

Most beautiful sunsets in the world - Review of Sunset Beach, Lower ...

I choose this image of God’s beautiful creation because it reminded me about
the story of God creating the world.  There are a couple of things I can see in
this picture.  First is the ocean and the sky.  God separated the sky from the
ocean and he filled the ocean with all sorts of fishes like millions types and
billions or unlimited fishes for us to eat.  He filled the open space with fresh air
for us to breathe and lots of birds to make earth beautiful.  God also added the
sun for light in the daytime and to keep us warm.  In this image it shows the
sun is setting and the day will be gone and night will come with the night light
which is the moon.  I am very grateful that our God created a beautiful earth for
us to live.

HOMESCHOOLING

HOMESCHOOLING

I like homeschooling  because I have my mum to help me  with my work and
my brother to help me also when I’m stuck and  don’t really understand what to
do. My brother helps me when my mum is busy doing other things like baking,
cooking and cleaning.  Schooling at home is fun because it is relaxing and lots
of little breaks. I also like homeschooling because I get to sleep in a lot.
Every morning I wake up late and I get late for meetings, sometimes I wake on
time but I’m not a computer person like my two brothers to just get right into it.
I always have to wait for my brothers to wake up or come help me. Altogether,
I love it because we get to eat nice and hot lunch, today my dad made us
some cornbeef and cheese toasties and  some cocktail sausages. Mum
made some cookies and some fresh fruits and orange juice for drinks.
Yesterday we had pork, bread rolls with green salad, it was our leftover roast
from Sunday that mum reheated it and made it our lunch, and fresh fruits with
chips we had for morning tea. I love food and I think having school at home
means eating nicer food too and warm too because the weather is getting
colder.

What I don’t like about homeschooling is it can be boring because I am
sometimes sick of being with my brothers all the time.  I miss my friends and
teachers too. I kind of like it at school better than home because we have a
certain time for breaks and for lunch.  At home my brother and mum always
make us work hard for our food. Sometimes I don’t get morning tea I will have
it all at lunch because I have to complete work to be able to take a break and
eat.  Another day I remember I had no breakfast because I have to get straight
in to work and get to a meeting before its finish. I told my brother and mum I
like homeschooling but I miss my real teachers because they are too harsh
on me.

My Bubble

My Bubble

There are nine people in my bubble.  They are my parents, my four brothers plus my grandpa and
uncle Vaka.  My grandpa was already living with us but my uncle just came when lock down began.

Lock down has brought my bubble (family) closer together than ever especially closer to God.
We have family prayer every evening before we have dinner. We took turns running the prayer,
but most of the time my uncle will do it because he is a priest and we just help him by doing the
readings or say the prayer.  On Sundays we would all get dressed as if we were going to church
and have a Eucharist service in our lounge. On Palm Sunday my uncle brought home heaps of palm
leaves from his workplace, my mum decorated our house with the palms and on Sunday we
dressed up had our service, we started from outside coming in to the house yelling out in Tongan
“Hosana Hosana kihe tui oe ngaahi tui, Oku haele mai he Huafa oe Eiki” meaning “Hosanna Hosanna
to the king of kings, he is coming in the Spirit of God”.

One of my favourite times with my bubble during the lockdown was Maundy Thursday.  My mum
planned out a beautiful dinner for us like the Last Supper or the Passover Jesus had with his disciples.
We helped her prepare the food, I helped with rolling the dough to make unleavened bread. It was fun.
I think I can make my own dough for playing, I just need some food colouring to make it colourful.
Opeti was organising the table and was hosting the dinner, his job was to find the meaning of each
food we had and made up like games to do while we had dinner. Jabez helped with something I don’t
remember but we all got involved preparing for our Last Supper.  We all got dressed and it was dinner
time, the table was so nice with candles and wine glasses. We had almost exactly the same food
Jesus and his disciples had on their Last Supper. Food was delicious, different and meaningful.
I love the lamb with haroset together and I drank a little red wine too.  The only thing I didn’t like at
this dinner was the bitter herbs, I don’t think anybody liked it anyway but we all had to taste everything
as Opeti read out each of their meanings. My mum didn’t sit at the table with us, she said she will be
our servant and let us all men in the house enjoy it. Thank you mum.

After the Last Supper, we quickly cleaned up and moved to the lounge for our Washing feet service.
My uncle Vaka led us with prayers and readings and we had Holy Sacrament also the washing of
the feet just like Jesus did on Maundy Thursday night before he got crucified.  My uncle said we will
all take turn by washing each others feet, He started by washing mine and I washed my dads feet
and dad washed my lil brother Lau, Lau washed Jabez and Jabez washed mums, Mums washed
our baby brother Vaka and Vaka was excited to wash Opetis feet he thinks it was a game or something
we were doing and lastly Opeti washed our uncle Rev Vakas feet.

Throughout Easter weekend from Thursday to Sunday we weren’t allowed to play any games or go
on any device.  We really had to feel suffering because our Lord Jesus was suffering for us. But we
were allowed to have time outside, we went bike riding and played balls outside.  On Friday afternoon,
we had the longest family prayer meeting, my uncle was sharing with us the seven words from the
cross and we all had to share and discuss each word.  I almost fell asleep a few times but my uncle
always made me answer the questions so I could stay awake and I did. We wore black, everybody
wore black on Friday and Saturday but on Sunday we wore white.

On Saturday night my mum set out an easter eggs hunt in the house because her and Opeti went to
visit our grandma and family at the cemetery and they took too long and came home it was already
dark, so we couldn’t do our easter eggs hunt outside anymore.  After dinner we cleaned up and all
went downstairs to our rooms while mum hid the eggs upstairs and called us to come up. This Night
our little brother was taken by our cousins to join them with their easter hunt so it was only four of us
boys home. My mum said we have to do it in pairs and put me with Jabez and Opeti was with our
baby brother.  I never like to be paired up with Jabez but mum said we must work together in order
to keep all the eggs and lollies we find, if we don’t stick together we will lose lollies. It was fun after
all, mum hid the eggs n lollies in twos so when we find it we can always have one each. Me and Jabez
won with the most that is because mum gave us clues but Opeti had to do it on his own because our
little boss brother set down and started eating their lollies and wouldn't want to go with Opeti to find more.
We had far too much chocolates and Easter eggs this year because my mum n dad already bought
us some and our uncle went to buy us heaps more and when my cousins came to take our little brother
Lau they gave us more. Thank you everybody.

On Easter Sunday we woke up  after 9am and shouted “Jesus has Risen, He has Risen Indeed”
we shouted out a few times and my grandpa came out and told us that we were too late we should
of wake up earlier like 5am and did that, my grandpa always like to teased us especially me.  We
helped mum cook our lunch and put them away so we got ready for our Easter Sunday Eucharist
with our Uncle. We all wore white with taovala n everything just to sit at home for church. After church
and learning of our Lord has Risen, we then had a very nice big meal to celebrate his resurrection.
Food was very delightful and yummy.

My mum is a real hero for this lock down. She looks after our bubble well, she cooks heaps and cooks
delicious food too, she also baked but she was never a baker she says.  The only thing mum use to
bake for us before was brownies and tookutu a Tongan bread or something. Now she bakes buns,
scones, coconut bread and more.

Every other day we tried to help out as much as we can with house chores and do some school
work too so we can be allowed to play on the play station or go online on our devices.  We also like
to go play outdoors, especially me. I sometimes take off and go for a ride on my bike and almost get a
hiding for it, because I have to stay within our bubble and wait until we all go outdoors.

During this lock down we have always been at home, we never went anywhere but just mum or dad
going to shop for us.  My uncle goes to work sometimes and Opeti first time out of the house to go with
mum to the cemetery last Saturday. My first time out of the house was going for a ride with my mum
on Easter Sunday afternoon to drop off some food to my great aunt in Otara.  The only person who goes
around in between two houses is our little brother Lau. We want him home with us but our cousins love
having him too and they are the ones who come over and ask to take him. I love my bubble. Thank
you Lord for watching over us.
